SKINCARE ESSENTIALS (I can’t live without)

Throwback to my teenage years when I didn’t even really need moisturizer and didn’t know the importance of sunscreen. Now that I’m in my 20s, I can definitely see that I need to take care of my skin if I want it to stay healthy long term. I have pretty sensitive skin, and it can be difficult to find the right combination of products that works for me.

By no means am I a skincare expert, but here are some of my favorites I use on a day to day basis. All opinions are my own :)

1.     InnisFree Green Tea Seed Serum

InnisFree is a Korean skin care brand, and in case you haven’t heard yet, they expanded SO many stores across major cities in the USA. I used to order their masks online, but now I’ve fallen in love with pretty much all of their products?! My favorite HAS to be the Green Tea series. It has a subtle green tea smell that keeps my skin hydrated all day.

2.     Dove Dermaseries Eczema Body Lotion

My legs and elbow area are so dry in the summer/winter. Body lotions can get quite expensive, and I like something that runs more on the unscented side. This body lotion is so cost effective ($6 for a giant bottle), and will probably last me a VERY long time. I’m usually really bad about remembering to apply body lotion, so I keep this in my bathroom so I remember to put it on after showering.

3.     Bio Oil

I’m pretty sure my mom bought this years ago, and that’s how I discovered Bio Oil. Somehow my skin scars really easy (like seriously, I’ll get a bug bite and it’ll scar), and using Bio Oil has really helped me reduce the pigmentation of my scars. Supposedly its also great for minimizing the look of stretch marks!

4.     Dr. G Brightening Peeling Gel

So this product works as an exfoliator and brightens your skin while it’s at it. Ever since I was a kid, I have chronically VERY DRY hands, to the point where my cuticles can crack and bleed (RIP) during the winter time. I use this product kind of in a non-traditional way, where I mostly use it for my hands, and it gets rid of most of the dead skin. Seriously, thank goodness for this product because using hand sanitizer q minute has ruined the integrity of my skin. I also use it for my face because my nose tends to have quite a lot of dry skin.

5.     Nexcare Acne Cover Stickers

Last but CERTAINLY not least, my absolute FAVORITE pimple stickers. Believe me, I’ve tried other ones, and these are the ONLY ones that do their job. Basically, you pop one of these babies on a pimple, leave it on for anywhere from a couple of hours to overnight, and you will LITERALLY see the oil from the pimple come out onto the sticker. What was once your pimple will now be a flat surface you can easily cover with concealer. I have ordered at least 4 boxes of this so far.
